Materials: Chipboard A stable sheet material made by compressing small chips of wood together. Less expensive than MDF, it is mostly used as a core material for wood veneering. As such it is our most widely used raw material. MDF A stable and homogeneous wood based sheet. Made by compressing fibres of wood mixed with resins. MDF can be used either in its raw state as a base for painted furniture, or for the construction of drawers. It is most frequently used as a core material for wood veneering on both surfaces and as such is widely used in the manufacture of our furniture. Solid Wood We have many sources of solid wood furniture. We can source any species to customer requirements. Finishes Various materials are used in the finishing of our furniture, however we use U.V.lacquer, or P.U. laquer for most wood based panels. These are widely considered to be the most durable paint finishing systems. Other finishes include stain, oil, high gloss and ultra matt laquers. Literally any finish you require we can provide. For the finishing of steel the most commonly used finish is a polyester powder coating though chroming and Stainless finishes can also be achieved. Steel Where appropriate steel sheet and tube are used. Glass All glass used is toughened to British and European standards. Mirrors are safety backed to avoid any risk in the case of breakage. Fittings We live in an age of the most remarkably sophisticated fittings for use in furniture. We use only the highest quality, hinges, screws. castors, etc. Packaging In order to ensure the safe movement of our products all are packed to the highest standards. This should ensure that everything arrives in perfect condition. We go to a great deal of trouble in the design of our packaging and believe that a few extra pounds spent is worth the extra customer satisfaction.
